Outbound APIs

Outbound API Basics

Outbound APIs contain messages that are delivered by DPS, in real-time, to the endpoints you host on your system. DPS Outbound APIs are triggered by account creation, maintenance events, and other activities related to your card and account records. 

These APIs enable access to:

  • Visa Token Cardholder Verification Methods
  • Visa Token Send Passcode
  • Card and Account Event Notifications

How to Integrate

Outbound API endpoints are hosted on your system, not on Visa Developer Center (VDC). Work with your Visa DPS Implementation Manager to provide URLs and exchange certificates to integrate with the Outbound Services API channel.
