Visa Travel Notification Service Product Terms

If You are a Visa Member, the following Visa Product Terms apply to You:

1. Your access to and use of Visa Travel Notification Services (“VTNS”) through the Developer Platform does not grant you the right to access or use such Visa Product through Visa Online. For access and use through Visa Online, please contact your Visa Representative.

2. You agree and acknowledge that You will use and participate in Travel Notification (“TNS”). Data sent to Visa using VTNS will be included in the Visa Travel Authorization Tag scoring that includes verification of travel dates and travel destinations. Visa has deployed the Travel Authorization Tag indicator as part of the Visa authorization stream. You agree to only access and use the Visa Travel Authorization Tag in accordance with applicable law and regulations and may not use the Visa Travel Authorization Tag for any of the “permissible purposes” defined under the Fair Credit and Reporting Act (FCRA) 15 USC § 1681(b). Without limiting the foregoing, You agre to only use the Visa Travel Authorization Tag to improve fraud strategies and to make an “over limit” determination in the context of an authorization, provided that You only use the Visa Travel Authorization Tag in near-real-time authorization reviews, do not share the Visa Travel Authorization Tag with any other company or third party, and do not enrich the Visa Travel Authorization Tag with information from other companies or third parties, including information considered a “consumer report” under the FCRA. 

3. By providing cardholder travel itinerary data to Visa, You represent and warrant that it has all necessary authorization and consents to provide such travel itinerary data to Visa for the purposes contemplated herein.

If You are a non-Visa Member acting as an Agent of a Visa Member, then the following Visa Product Terms apply:

1. To use and access this Visa Product, You must provide to evidence to Visa that You are the Agent of a Visa Member for purposes of using this Visa Product (i) on behalf of such Memner and (ii) to submit, through VTNS, Cardholder Information from such Visa Member.

2. Your access and use of this Visa Product is at the direction and on behalf of the Visa Member for which You are an Agent; and only to provide services to such Visa Member.

3. Data sent to Visa using VTNS will be included in the Visa Travel Authorization Tag scoring that includes verification of travel dates and travel destinations.  You shall only use such data in Your capacity as a service provider to the applicable Member. Visa has deployed the Travel Authorization Tag indicator as part of the Visa authorization stream. Unless permitted otherwise by Visa in writing and subject to the Terms of Use and any additional conditions or restrictions in connection with such permission, You agree to only use the Visa Travel Authorization Tag to improve fraud strategies and to make an “over limit” determination in the context of an authorization relating to the applicable Member cardholders, provided that You only use the Visa Travel Authorization Tag in near-real-time authorization reviews, do not share the Visa Travel Authorization Tag with any other third party other than the applicable Visa Member, and do not enrich the Visa Travel Authorization Tag with information from other companies or third parties (including, if the Territory is the United States, information considered a “consumer report” under the U.S. Fair Credit Reporting Act).
